Cholpon-Ata

Cholpon-Ata is the main resort town on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Beaches, sanatoria and a famous open-air petroglyph site (over 5,000 Bronze Age and Saka rock carvings) draw both domestic visitors and EcoNomad guests as a relaxed base before heading further east into the high mountains. The town also hosts the World Nomad Games arena.
