Naryn Region

Naryn Region is the most remote and highest oblast of Kyrgyzstan, occupying the rugged centre of the country between the Tian Shan ranges. With most of its territory above 2,000 m, the region holds spectacular alpine lakes like Song-Kol, Kel-Suu and Chatyr-Kol, the medieval Tash-Rabat caravanserai, and the wide jailoos where nomadic herders still summer their flocks.
